About Us

The Wesley Foundation is the United Methodist collegiate ministry. This is the missional presence of The United Methodist Church on college and university campuses around the world. Through a network of chaplaincies, Wesley Foundations, ecumenical ministries, and church-based ministries, The United Methodist Church reaches more than 1,300 campuses around the globe.

Metropolitan United Methodist Church (MUMC) was organized in 1927 and has a mission to bring the members and community into a saving relationship with Jesus, the Christ. Our mission is the life and breath of all things that we do. In July 2019, Rev. Richard Williams became the Pastor of MUMC and the church is thriving under his dynamic and dedicated leadership, with measurable growth in attendance and membership. We are grateful for the opportunities to work with our community in many ways including partnering with our local university. MUMC is constantly looking for opportunities to serve our community for the glory of God. Thus, we are excited to expand our reach by serving the ASU Wesley Foundation. To operate in collaboration through Campus Ministry, we aim to offer life-giving programming that will encourage student leadership and disciple-making.

Funding Structure

  • Metropolitan UMC will provide all funding for ministry opportunities.

  • All compensation for staff will be provided by Metropolitan UMC.

  • Students will not be required to pay a fee for the activities outlined above.
